Overview:
The Program and Outreach Coordinator is a key member of CITP's team supporting key CITP programs like CITP's undergraduate program, summer fellowship, clinic, fellows program and helping CITP leadership with establishing new programs by providing project management and logístical support.
This includes managing recruitment outreach for CITP's programs, being responsible for CITP's social media sites, blog site, and weekly e-newsletter.
Responsibilities:
Program Coordination - approximately 30%
- Program Coordinator for the Technology & Society Certificate Program/Minor, Information Technology Track. Responsibilities include recruiting undergraduate students by holding information sessions, monitor student course work, information provider and liaison for student advising, independent work approval and presentation at annual symposium. The position will work under the guidance of the center manager and the director of the undergraduate program to execute day to day activities related to the T&S certificate program/minor.
Academic administration - approximately 20%
This involves supporting the executive director in the fellows and emerging scholars hiring process.
- Manage the fellows and emerging scholars(es) program outreach databases.
- Support executive director with all hiring related needs with respect to the fellows/emerging scholars program. This may include handling logístical support, preparing meeting agendas and other relevant meeting materials, and coordinating and facilitating correspondence with participants and all relevant constituents.
Outreach Coordinator - approximately 40%
- Manage recruitment outreach for all of CITP's programs.
- Work on CITP's weekly e-newsletter. This includes coordinating with the CITP community to collect information and produce the newsletter.
- Work with event coordinator on event outreach. This includes working with an external agency to develop posters for select events.
- Primary administrator of CITP's social media site. This includes day to day outreach on social media as well as coordinating with external freelancers like graphic designers, video content producers, photographers, and so on for special projects.
- Primary administrator of CITP's Freedom to Tinker Blog. This includes keeping track of publishing requests and drafts on Freedom to Tinker and coordinating with CITP's executive director to get posts approved for publishing.
- Work closely with CITP staff on development of other communication platforms and tools as needed.
New Program Support - Approximately 10%
As CITP develops new programs, the program and outreach coordinator will proactively work with all staff at CITP to support the development of the new program.
Qualifications:
Essential qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 1+ years of work experience.
Experience with project management and working with multiple stakeholders.
Excellent judgment, decision-making and problem solving skills.
Extremely organized and detailed oriented.
Writing and editing experience with the ability to edit for grammar, spelling, accuracy, format and tone.
Ability to manage and meet deadlines with attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment, including being able to direction within the larger CITP community.
Preferred qualifications:
