This is a Temporary position located at Parsons State Hospital, with varying days/hours.
All employees are expected to collaborate effectively with colleagues to deliver top-notch customer service, assist others when available, maintain a positive work environment, and comply with standards of conduct.
The main role of the Senior Power Plant Operator is to ensure round-the-clock steam, heat, hot water, and emergency services.
The job involves moderate physical exertion, climbing and crawling, lifting heavy weights, recording data, and ensuring equipment safety.
Parsons State Hospital follows regulations from Federal and State levels and is partly funded by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Qualifications:
Preferred Criteria:
Six months of power plant operation experience, ability to do maintenance and repair work, supervise subordinates, and hold a valid Kansas driver's license.
Selected candidates must pass a security clearance and adhere to specific Department policies.
