    Job Description

    Job DescriptionDescription:

    Evaluates and treats patients using the principles and practices of occupational therapy and in accordance with the patient's age, developmental level and diagnosis. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team.

    This is an "As Needed"/PRN opportunity.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Evaluates patients, establishes goals, and develops individualized treatment plans.

    2. Provides direct patient treatment based on current occupational therapy practice.

    3. Provides education to patient and family/caregiver regarding patient's abilities.

    4. Recommends modification or changes in the patient's treatment program to the referring physician.

    5. Prepares written/computer documentation as required by the profession and the department..

    6. Participates in the interdisciplinary patient care conferences and rounds.

    7. Arranges work schedule to make efficient use of direct and non-direct patient care time. .

    Education and/or Experience

    • 1 year of experience in acute care or Sub Acucte Rehab required
    • Candidates must be graduates from an approved School of Occupational Therapy
    • EMR/EPIC experience preferred
    • Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) experience preferred
