You'll be successful in the role if you met these desired outcomes:


  • Adherence to State Guidelines: Ensure all community school initiatives comply with state guidelines through detailed action plans, regular audits, and attendance at key meetings.

Trust and Collaboration: Build a community based on trust by facilitating regular meetings with school leaders, parents, students, and community stakeholders to foster collaboration and support for community school programs.

Community Needs Assessment: Conduct regular needs assessments and analyze data to identify and address gaps in community school programs.

Program Efficiency: Maintain a calendar of events, track program activities and expenditures, and ensure timely submission of reports to maximize program efficiency and transparency.

Enrichment Opportunities: Identify and integrate enrichment programs into the curriculum to expand learning opportunities for students.

Student Support Services: Coordinate with school staff and community partners to provide integrated support services for students, ensuring their progress and success.

Family and Community Engagement: Lead initiatives to engage families and community members in school activities, including organizing events and providing resources and support services.

Our strongest applicants will meet these qualifications for the role:

  • College degree preferred, but not required
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Experience working in an urban school setting
  • Experience mobilizing groups, building partnerships with local organizations, and leveraging resources within a community
  • Able to work a flexible schedule including some weekends and evenings

Benefits and Compensation:


  • The salary range for this role is $66,560 $86,700. New hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint of $67,500 $71,000 depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budget allocated for this role.
  • 100% of healthcare premium costs covered by employer, dependents added at 50% of the cost
  • 401(k) plan with up to 6% match by KIPP SoCal
