    Position Summary:
    Structural Engineering Company seeking a professional familiar working with high end luxury home clients. We are seeking a Structural Engineer with minimum of 5 years' experience.

    The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of the following materials and associated code:

    • Wood Design using NDS Standards
    • Steel Design using AISC Standards
    • Concrete Design using ACI Standards
    • Masonry Design using TMS Standards
    • Cold-Formed Steel using AISI Standards

    Knowledge of the following building systems, preferred:

    • Steel Moment Frames
    • Concrete/Masonry Shear Walls
    • Multi-Story Buildings
    • Seismic Retrofit

    Knowledge of the following computer software, preferred:

    • RISA 3D / RISA Foundation
    • Excel
    • WoodWorks
    • AutoCad / Revit / Framecad

    Responsibilities and Duties:
    Prepare structural reports, designs, and drawings.
    Structural Engineering calculation reports
    Addressing Plan Check Comments from the Building Departments
    Performing site visits to document field conditions and structural observations (travel expenses will be reimbursed)

    • Assist Principal Engineer with project management and start to finish with projects

    Job Requirements:

    • BS degree in Civil Engineering or Structural
    • Basic AutoCAD knowledge
    • Good organizational and communication skills
    • Valid Drivers License
    • Registered professional engineer in California, or will obtain in the next year
