- Utilize structural analysis software for design, such as: CSiBridge, CTBridge, vBridge, VBent, CTAbut, SAP2000, etc.
- Complete design tasks with minimal supervision and ability to work independently
- Coordinate the structural design with other disciplines and construction team
- Become familiar with various structural standards and building codes such as: AASHTO Caltrans Manual, AREMA, And UPRR/BNSF guidelines
- Compile data and perform calculations required for the preparation of drawings and design studies
- Prepare cost estimates
- Collaborate with Bridge and Rail Team and all company disciplines
- Conduct inspections and assist in supervision of site investigations as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related) required and Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred ring is preferred
- Professional Engineer in the State of California required
- At least 5 years Minimum 5_years of experience in bridge/retaining wall and other structural components of transportation design
- Expertise in SAP2000 and AutoCAD; MicroStation preferred
- Knowledge of CSiBridge, CTBridge, vBridge, VBent and/or CTAbut preferred

Our SoCal bridge team provides a wide variety of structural transportation services to Caltrans, cities, and counties in the area including concrete bridge design, steel bridge design, bridge widening and replacement, grade separations, structural assessment and rehabilitation, seismic retrofit, underground structures, and retaining walls. Qualifications:
Base salary range:
$ 112,500 to $ 137,500 per year based on years of experience, level of education obtained, professional registration, and meeting required qualification in job description.
Base salary range only applicable for candidates who will be hired and working in the California market.
Physical requirements:
Must be able to navigate field to inspect bridges and rail. Some site visits may be required which may necessitate navigating unpaved or natural terrain while carrying equipment. Perform office work or attend meetings. Light local travel as necessary.
