    Job Description - Day to Day:


    The ideal candidate will have a strong security engineering and operations background; they will be able to create and implement a security baseline and perimeter for our systems.

    This role requires someone who can not only execute on technical requirements, but also identify security concerns, propose and implement solutions, and effectively share their knowledge with, mentor and educate the rest of our team.

    Important Skills

    Technical

    – 7+ years of experience, certified RedHat admin, strong cybersecurity background, must be able to use Confluence, Jira, ServiceNow or Equivalent

    Soft

    –identify security concerns, propose and implement solutions, and effectively share their knowledge with, mentor and educate the rest of our team

    Interview Process:
    1 hour interview with hiring manager and lead sys admin might join, likes to hear experiences about the work they've done/ stories about past projects

    Hours / Shift:
    40 hours/ week (can be flexible with hours M-F)

    Background Check Required:
    Yes- Background check required – CORI, SSN, Sex offender search


    Logos:

    Skills And Certifications

    7+ years experience as a Linux systems administrator
    Must be a certified Red Hat administrator
    Must have a strong cybersecurity background
    Must be comfortable writing in and working with wiki and ticketing tools such as Confluence, Jira, ServiceNow or equivalent

    Strongly Preferred

    Experience working in high performance computing (HPC)
    Experience hardening Linux-based systems
    Experience securing servers
