Temporary Accounting Clerk - New York, United States - Dana-Co

Job Location:
Midtown Manhattan near the Empire State Building. Please note that this position must work in the office.
Remote work is not available.
Hours:
Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm
Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily accounting tasks including transaction processing, reconciliations, and maintaining financial records.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and other documents.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and investment decisions.
- Provide administrative support to the accounting department, such as filing, data entry, and handling correspondence.
- Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as required.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- 12 years of experience as an accounting clerk or in a similar role.
- A working understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
- Excellent math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
- High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information with integrity.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
