In this position you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the practice, health and safety program.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Interface with Local Care Delivery Organizations, Managers and clinic staff to conduct practice assessments and manage action plans through to complete resolution
  • Oversee remediation and corrective action plans, resulting from internal assessments, audits, investigations, compliance reviews and selfidentified issues
  • Deliver targeted training, education and communications
  • Objective, collaborative and professional approach
  • Plans, directs and evaluates sites assessments
  • Work alongside and offer assistance to registered nurses (RN), medical assistants (MAs) and licensed practical nurses (LPNs)
  • Explains process of site assessments to employees to gain cooperation, understanding, and reduce apprehension
  • Assists promptly with the implementation of remediation plans as needed
  • Maintains the standards of accurate and complete recording and reporting
  • Prepares and plans equipment needs prior to site assessments
  • Participates in inservice training for personnel
  • Supports, promotes and enforces infection control practices and standards
  • Participates in quality improvement activities
  • Communicates effectively with others

Required Qualifications:


  • Registered nurse licensed to practice in the State of New York and in good standing
  • 2+ years clinical nursing experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to travel within region when practices are open and seeing patients

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience in a regulatory and/or compliance operations
  • Knowledge of ambulatory clinical settings
  • Infection prevention experience
  • Federal Audit experience (e.g., Joint Commission, AAAASF standards)
  • Experience with TJC, AAAASF standards
  • Knowledge of NYSDOH regulations
  • Knowledge of HLD or sterilization process
  • Experience with staff education
