We are a construction firm located in Brookfield, CT, specializing in the delivery of Renovations, General Contracting, Construction Management, and Design-Build Services.
We have an immediate need for a Construction Project Manager to support our business operations in Brookfield, Connecticut.
The Construction Project Manager will manage all aspects of the projects from searching for RFPs, Bidding Projects, Supervising the project from start to completion ensuring that the projects are safely completed on time and within scope and budget.
- Manage all aspects of a small to medium sized projects ($10K $2M);
- Supervise and mentor junior and midlevel staff;
- Work primarily with Commercial and federal clients to define project scope, schedule, and budget;
- Plan, communicate, and implement projects to safely complete projects on time and within budget;
- Lead safety efforts including preparation and compliance with approved safety plan;
- Act to resolve operational problems and minimize delays;
- Identify, develop, and gather the resources to complete the project. This may include preparing calculations, reports, and work specifications; developing project schedules, budgets, and forecasts; and selecting materials, equipment, project staff, and subcontractors/vendors;
- Partner with other departments or offices to secure specialized resources for the project;
- Conduct meetings and prepare forecasts and reports to communicate the status of the project;
- Set priorities, assign tasks, and coordinates project staff to meet project targets and milestones;
- Coordinate with the Client Service Manager to ensure appropriate oversight is in place and sufficient time is allowed for independent technical reviews of all deliverables;
- Coordinate with accounting for project initiation; forecasting; accounts payable; and client invoicing;
- Develop understanding and be aware of projectrelated risk. Be familiar with risk policies and what could go wrong on a project and how to protect Blackhorse;
- Lead safety efforts for team and ensure team follows safety rules and guidelines. Create and model a safe work environment;
- Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects. Monitor quality standards and practices;
- Work with Client Service Manager to develop the technical approach and cost proposal for new opportunities; and
- Assist in business development activities as appropriate, under the supervision of Client Service manager and business development team.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience with at least 5 years in the role of Project Manager;
Pay:
$75, $85,000.00 per year
