The Assistant Director assists the Director with the development, oversight, and maintenance of the Town's comprehensive human resources functions and programs, with an emphasis on wage, compensation, and benefits administration.
This position ensures the payroll accuracy of employee pay, benefits, and contractual provisions, reconciles payroll liability accounts, and coordinates the implementation of labor agreements and employee contracts.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in human resource management, public administration, business, or related field and a minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible professional human resources experience, preferably in municipal government; or any equivalent combination of education, training, or experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the essential functions of the job.
Supervisory experience is preferred and municipal experience is strongly preferred.
Applicants must be able to maintain confidential and privileged employee and collective bargaining information and must possess and maintain a Class D Massachusetts motor vehicle operator's license.
Salary:
Anticipated starting range of $86,756.80 to $92,768.00, DOQ, with comprehensive benefits.
