Stroudsmoor Country Inn, a premier resort located in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee our custodial staff and ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities.

The Housekeeping Supervisor will report directly to the Director of Event Operations and work closely with other departments to ensure the Inn is well-maintained and presents a welcoming and comfortable environment for our guests.

- Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage a team of custodial staff, ensuring they are trained and capable of carrying out their duties to the highest standards
  • Coordinate and assign work schedules, ensuring that adequate staff coverage is maintained throughout the property
  • Inspect venues and public areas to ensure they meet established standards of cleanliness, safety, and comfort
  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures that meet the Inn's standards and comply with health and safety regulations
  • Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring that stock levels are maintained and that orders are placed in a timely and costeffective manner
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Maintenance and Front Desk, to address and resolve issues that affect the overall guest experience
  • Respond to guest complaints and concerns promptly and professionally, taking appropriate action to resolve any issues
  • Monitor the performance of the custodial staff and provide feedback and coaching as needed
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to review performance, provide updates, and address any concerns or issues that arise
  • Ensure that all custodial staff comply with Inn policies and procedures, including safety protocols and dress codes
  • Assist in the recruitment and hiring of custodial staff as needed
  • Take on other responsibilities as assigned to ensure the cleanliness of the property and the safety of our associates and guests
  • Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role, preferably in a hotel or resort environment
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team of employees effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and staff at all levels
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and chemicals, as well as health and safety regulations
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays, as needed
  • Bi-Lingual is preferred. (English-Spanish)
