Description
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and compliance with accounting standards.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Manage daytoday accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Analyze financial performance and provide insights to support strategic decisionmaking.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Stay uptodate on industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance and competitiveness.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the produce industry.
- Strong knowledge of produce industry practices and trends.
- Familiarity with Hunts Point Terminal operations is a plus.
- Proficiency in Produce Pro or similar produce industry software.
- Ability to thrive in a fastpaced, dynamic work environment.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
