    Job DescriptionTHE OPPORTUNITY: Geriatric Medical Director / ChairTHE LOCATION: Ashland, Oregon
    Ready for a change? We are seeking a Geriatric Medical Director to join our team in a beautiful community, Ashland, located in Southern Oregon. You will provide clinical and administrative leadership to a team of inpatient and outpatient physicians and advanced practice clinicians, as well as a robust support staff including clinical nurse specialists and other team members.
    THE DETAILS
    -Year 1 – Base salary of $275,220
    -Year 2 & beyond – Annual performance incentives of up to $40,000
    -$50,000 signing bonus
    -Up to $15,000 relocation assistance
    -Up to $5,000 annual CME allowance
    -240 hours authorized time off

    In collaboration with philanthropic donors, this employer plans to invest nearly $5 million to develop this service which is vital to our aging communities. The space at our community hospital will be designed and renovated to be aesthetically pleasing for geriatric patients with a focus on decreasing the disorientation and depersonalizing effects of an unfamiliar environment.

    You will be responsible for all aspects of the service line across all divisions, including growth, quality, and service education. The role is designed to be 50% clinical service and 50% leadership.

    Highlights:

    · Serve as Medical Director while building and leading an interdisciplinary team of specially trained physicians and nurses.

    · Practice as a community-based physician in Ashland.

    · Embed age-sensitive principles at the hospital level and throughout this health system

    · Develop clinical programs to serve our aging population.

    · Develop partnerships with local providers, long-term care facilities and other caregivers.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    -Candidates must be BC/BE in Internal Medicine or Geriatric Medicine.

    -Experienced physician leader who has demonstrated success in a complex care environment.

    -Strong clinical leader with experience in leading geriatric service line.

    -Track record of driving improvements in quality and safety, with progressive leadership experience.

    -Licensed as a Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician in the state of Oregon or able to obtain licensure and certification in Geriatric Medicine.
