POSITION SUMMARY
This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting nursing care for patients in line with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards. It holds responsibility for ensuring the quality of nursing services delivered by oneself and others under their supervision. Specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills are essential to provide appropriate care based on patients' physical and developmental age.
CORE FUNCTIONS
This position involves interacting with staff at all levels, various departments, physicians, patients, families, and external contacts, such as employees of other healthcare institutions and community providers, concerning patient care. Collaboration with other healthcare providers is crucial to ensure the well-being of patients and their families.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must hold a current, valid RN license in the state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in the state of practice, or compact RN licensure for the current state of practice. BLS certification is mandatory, with additional certification or ongoing education required based on the area of practice.
The applicant must meet clinical experience, training, and educational requirements relevant to the position. Clinical experience in the specific area of application is preferred. Clinical performance competencies must be maintained annually. Candidates applying for Banner Registry and Travel acute care positions should have at least one year of recent experience in an acute care hospital setting. For roles in physician practices, a minimum of one year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a physician practice or acute care setting is required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
While a Bachelor's degree is preferred, professional certification is a plus. Additional related education and experience are beneficial.
