Description

We are currently seeking a Assistant Shop Foreman to join our Freehold, NJ metal fabrication shop. This role will be responsible for the safe operation of various machines and equipment involved in production. You will be joining the team at an exciting time as we launch our facility in Freehold, NJ.

Responsibilities:

Supervises machine shop operations, ensuring all work is performed accurately and according to quality and safety standards.
Identifies, acquires, and ensures the availability of materials and supplies.
Assist with the drafting, development, and implementation of costeffective manufacturing methods and procedures to ensure that production is within applicable standards
Ensures quality and consistency in production processes by assessing, modifying, and/or calibrating equipment.
Drafts and maintains production logs, inventories, documentation, and reports including those outlining procedures, batch records, inventory, productivity, changeover, and progress.
Assists in maintaining inventory control and shipping documentation
Ensures compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, and guidelines, including EPA and OSHA requirements.
Additional duties and responsibilities as needed

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing supervision experience
Thorough understanding of products and equipment used in manufacturing.
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints to draft clear and detailed manufacturing procedures.
Attention to detail and a high degree of organization
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Demonstrated leadership experience with a highfunctioning, fastpaced team and a desire to do whatever it takes for success
Previous inventory control experience. Ability to work with all levels of management and across other departments

Physical Demands:

Prolonged periods of standing and walking through the factory.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on computers.
Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
