Not only do we complete the necessary tasks, but we orchestrate financial peace of mind for our clients.Our Real Estate Solutions Team provides accounting, tax, and consulting services to commercial and residential real estate developers; particularly those who utilize low-income housing, historic rehabilitation, or renewable energy tax credits to finance their projects.
As a Tax Manager with the Mahoney Real Estate Solutions Team, you will assume a pivotal role in providing a variety of tax and accounting functions for clients, including:Review and sign partnership tax returns
Prepare and review Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) and Historic Tax Credit (HTC) cost certifications and financial projections for low-income housing, historic rehabilitation, and other real estate projects
Proficiently identify, address, and resolve intricate tax challenges, while researching complex issues and providing well-informed solutions
Utilize strong interpersonal skills to deliver expert real estate consulting services and innovative solutions for projects
Foster long-lasting client relationships across the entire project lifecycle, from pre-development through successful exit strategies
Consistently provide effective communication across organization levels internally and with various clients
Lead, manage, and develop staff while sustaining a dynamic team environment
Our preferred candidates will have:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; a Master of Business Taxation is a plus
CPA license and 5+ years of experience in public accounting, specializing in preparing and reviewing partnership tax returns
Experience in Real Estate, Low Income Housing Tax Credits, and Historic Tax Credits is a plus
Prior experience with CCH software products (Axcess Tax, Engagement, Document) is a plus
We offer a competitive base pay range of $90,000 to $115,000 per year. During busy season, most accountants work 60+ hour weeks.
