Description
The Test Engineering Technician can perform certain manufacturing and acceptance test tasks on circuit cards and electronic assemblies. Primary duties include performing functional tests using a combination of manual and automated test equipment. Some troubleshooting and/or simple mechanical assembly may be required.Responsibilities
- Supports and conducts Functional Testing on various networking components.
- Supports senior engineers in analyzing test issues and performing gap analysis
- Teardown or setup of test lines, including but not limited to power, Network, foam, cables. Etc.
- Maintain accurate records of quality control testing and prepare reports for supervisors and Management.
- Communicate with the hardware technicians, hardware leads, supervisors, managers, and upper management in a clear and thorough manner.
- Communicate with fellow staff via verbal and written turnover to maintain an adequate knowledge of replacement parts and supplies needed to minimize equipment downtime and delays in the area.
- Train new personnel with the approved operating procedures and methods to ensure they are able to meet our quality and production standards and goals in the mínimal amount of time.
- Communicate any issues to management that could result in process delays, safety issues, or anything else that would cause loss to the company or its associates.
- Work closely with the other team members to ensure that our daily goals are obtained or exceeded in keeping a steady flow of work moving through the department. Willingly perform any other task requested by the Hardware Lead, Supervisor, or Management when needed to help achieve balance of flow.
- Stays abreast of 5S methodologies and lean practices
- Follow all known safety procedures and utilize good judgment when working in your area so that your safety or another team member's is not jeopardized.
- Assist in or lead special projects to ensure timely completion and within budgeted constraints, i.e. testing and evaluation of new equipment and, methods, or reporting results within the agreed upon time frame.
- Manufacturing and Acceptance testing of circuit card assembly, subassemblies, and line replaceable units
- Record test results and complete paperwork per instructions/procedures
- Performs other assigned duties as instructed by management such as data entry (real time, shop floor, etc.), reports, and working with fellow team members on accomplishing departmental objectives.
Required Experience:
- Associates degree in computer Science preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience within Computer hardware, testing and/or networking
- Familiarity with component level troubleshooting and diagnostics skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent certification (GED) required
- Previous mechanical experience preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products
- Ability to work from detailed instructions, drawings, and procedures
- Familiar with operation of standard test equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power meters, signal generators, DMM,etc
- Able to function in a team environment with limited supervision
Pay:
$ $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

Experience:
- Manufacturing: 1 year (preferred)
- Hardware Testing/Networking: 1 year (preferred)
