Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (AS) sector is looking for a
Manager, Leadership & Talent Development to join the Aeronautics Systems Human Resources Organization Effectiveness (OE) team.

If you are passionate about developing talent to reach their maximum potential, we want to talk to you This position will be in either Melbourne, FL or Palmdale, CA and will report to the Senior Director, Organization Effectiveness for AS.


Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Lead a team of talented individuals responsible for designing, implementing, and delivering sector-specific leadership development experiences across our organization
  • Represent the sector on enterprise teams, bringing the voice and perspective of the sector
  • Partner with Operations executives and the Operations HR team to identify talent management priorities and goals and measures of success
  • Build relationships with assigned client groups alongside HR Business Partners
  • Learn the business and hone your business acumen, identifying talent solutions that will improve the performance and effectiveness of individuals and teams
  • Guide holistic management and development of key talent pipelines
  • Assess, diagnose and consult for things like: team enablement & optimization, organizational performance, organizational design, change management, instructional design and delivery, and leadership coaching
  • Assess organizational needs and develop fitforpurpose solutions to increase team and organization effectiveness and drive systemic, cultural and leadership change across the business
  • Collect, analyze, and evaluate data for development related metrics to determine the impact of development initiatives and make appropriate recommendations
  • Leverage solid project management skills to implement development activities to include managing multiple projects simultaneously, mitigating risk, escalating when appropriate and reporting status to key stakeholders
  • Manage, coach, develop and drive engagement for staff; Mentor and coach other members of the extended OE team

Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree and 7 years (5 years with Master's degree) of Human Resources, Talent Management, or Leadership Development experience in a large, complex, professional environment
  • Broad based experiences as an HR Business Partner or COE specialist, advising, influencing, and consulting with clients, to include change management, talent management & development, and on larger scale OD/OE projects
  • 2 years of people leadership, helping connect people's efforts to the bigger picture, creating an inclusive work environment, valuing diversity and interest in helping to motivate leaders and employees reach their full potential
  • Excellent relationship builder with a track record of forging collaborative partnerships to influence direction and drive change to meet specific business outcomes
  • Superior relationship building and interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities/clients is essential
  • Demonstrated aptitude for learning and agility to adapt to shifting priorities and navigating ambiguous situations
  • Strong organization and project management skills
  • Demonstrated experience creating professional and impactful PowerPoint presentations, communications and resources, for a variety of stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and Special Program Access within a reasonable amount of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
