    Description

    The position will participate in the execution of corporate wide accounting activities in support of the company's objectives. It will support the accounting for cash, general accruals, prepare related reconciliations, as well as assist in managing departmental budgets. The position will also be a key contributor in the completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP financial statements and supporting documentation. Finally, the position will support the accounting close processes and related reconciliations for various corporate functional departments.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Responsible for preparation of manual journal entries on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

    • Responsible for managing the corporate allocation process.

    • Responsible for account reconciliations and account analysis as assigned.

    • Participates in the cash accounting and other process improvement projects.

    • Identifies and resolves reconciling items with cross-functional support.

    • Involvement in special projects as required for process improvement and efficiency.

    • Capable of working in a timeline driven environment while providing accurate information.

    • Assists business leadership in the preparation and management of annual departmental budgets

    Required Education, Experience, and Skills

    Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's

    Specialized Degree: Accounting, Business or Finance

    Years of Experience: 0-2 years

    Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's

    Specialized Degree: Accounting

    Other Preferred Skills, Licenses, & Certificates: Advanced Excel, SAP preferred

    Reporting Spans of Control

    Reports To (Supervisor Title): Manager, Accounting

    Does this role Manage Southwire Team Members: No

    Scope: All Locations

    Travel: Domestic

    Travel % of Time: Up to 25%

    Workplace Setting: Hybrid (2-3 days a week On Site)
