THE OPPORTUNITY:
This position is responsible for the total management of assigned customer accounts for all sales activities. Individuals must manage quality and consistency of products and service delivery. They must be able to persuade and influence others, as well as develop and deliver presentations. They must be able to create, compose, and edit written materials. Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques is required. Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public. Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional travel.
KEY FUNCTIONS &
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Achieve individual annual operating plan as assigned.
Present and sell company products and services to current and potential customers.
Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made.
Monitor sales activity and take action to address any adverse fluctuations.
Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned.
Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts as needed.
Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.
Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.
Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up.
Identify and resolve client concerns.
Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales.
Participate in marketing events such as seminars and trade shows.
Follow-up for collection of payment.
Coordinate shipping schedules and delivery of merchandise and services.
Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Required:
High School diploma / GED or equivalent work experience.
Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environmentSelf-starter – ability to initiate and execute with limited assistance.
Effective writing, communication and interpersonal skills.
Assertive, analytical problem solver with a can do attitude is required.
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to exercise mature judgment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and ExcelDesired:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a business related discipline.5+ years of related work experienceMust be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
