Job Title:
Product Testing Specialist


Product Testing Responsibilities:


  • Manage the
    Product Testing function for all consumer products.
  • Initiate testing with labs, follow up on sample dispatch and reporting.
  • Manage testing costs and invoicing.
  • Oversee logistics of testing sample submission.
  • Support Product Development by specifying and meeting regulatory compliance in the Development stage.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for documenting the Testing process in Oracle.
  • Develop Corrective Actions Plans (CAP) and Corrective and Preventative Action Plans (CAPA) as required.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to review/approve all collateral, including product labeling and artwork ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate Testing sample requirements, and required compliance dates with factories, regional managers and Gibson Quality team.

Product Testing Requirements:

Los Angeles based, in-office M-F, office located 9 miles East of downtown Los Angeles:

  • Bachelor's degree, Applied Science, or relevant degree with background in research methods
  • 35 years of relevant work experience in Consumer
    Product Testing, in hard goods, or apparel.
  • Understanding of FDA, CA Prop 65, and EU Food standards is a plus.
  • Experience in color approvals (from Fabrics or Printing industry) is also a plus.
  • Bilingual English/Mandarin preferred, not required.
  • Oracle ERP experience, nice to have.
  • Understanding of product lifecycle time management.
