Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant General Manager to join our team at Wingstop.
As the Assistant General Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the General Manager in driving profitability, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and managing a dedicated team.
Your proficiency in Restaurant Profit & Loss Management and commitment to upholding operational excellence will contribute to the success of our restaurant.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Profitability**:
- Assist in driving production of management and staff toward financial goals.
- Focus on income-producing activities and minimizing losses.
- Proactively contribute to sales growth through guest experience, staff development, and operations management.
- Track labor and food costs metrics on a daily basis.
- Manage cash expenditures, including payouts, repair costs, and inventory purchases.
- Attend mandatory weekly in-person and accountability Zoom meetings.
Operations:
- Enforce compliance with government regulations, employment laws, and Wingstop Restaurant Industries (WRI) policies.
- Optimize labor scheduling for managers and team members.
- Ensure complete and timely scheduling posted by Tuesday's close of business.
- Uphold Food and Health Safety protocols at all times.
- Ensure adherence to operational and brand standards, including proper shift changes, opening, and closing procedures.
- Ensure the store hours of operation are strictly followed.
- Maintain cleanliness and adhere to the cleaning schedule in alignment with QSC guidelines.
- Oversee timely completion of store repairs.
Quality Control:
- Ensure consistent quality product and product presentation meet WRI standards.
- Monitor product freshness and adherence to preparation guidelines.
- Achieve 95% or better accuracy in Quality Standards Inspections.
- Maintain the restaurant's cleanliness and well-maintained premises.
- Manage food orders and ensure all Food Quality Complaint forms are submitted to WRI.
Guest Experience:
- Motivate and lead team members to exceed guest expectations.
- Manage the guest experience through operations and promptly address guest issues and complaints.
- Work towards obtaining favorable guest experiences through effective problem-solving.
- Respond to all guest complaints within a 24-hour period.
- Foster a culture of guest interaction, engage in customer surveys with each visit.
- Contribute to the initiation and execution of local marketing initiatives.
Team Leadership:
- Assist in the recruitment and selection process to build an efficient and professional team.
- Guide new team members through the onboarding and training process.
- Ensure the team is up-to-date on all training procedures, including TWMgmt, HR, and Wing You.
- Provide coaching and feedback to Team Members to enhance capabilities and restaurant performance.
- Manage individual and team recognition to inspire and motivate the team.
- Conduct team meetings and evaluate Employee Performance.
Recognition & Retention Program:
- Drive a culture of appreciation, team support, and encouragement.
- Assist in identifying and recognizing Employee of the Quarter, incorporating into Quarterly Meetings.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in restaurant management preferred.
- Proficient in Restaurant Profit & Loss Management.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Commitment to exceptional guest service.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
