Job Summary

Under the general supervision of management and medical providers, the Medical Assistant performs administrative and clinical duties in a luxurious setting.

Clinical tasks include taking patient medical histories, blood pressures, vitals, EKGs, and administering injections.

The Medical Assistant also provides general administrative duties including greeting patients, maintaining the front desk, scheduling appointments, and charging for services performed.

While providing the best possible patient care and five-star customer service, the Medical Assistant significantly impacts the company by supporting patients in achieving safe and healthy weight loss.

Core Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for consultation, evaluation, and treatment
• Provide detailed descriptions of Red Mountain weight loss programs, med spa services, products, facility features, and hours of operation
• Become a supportive partner on each patient's journey, and ensure they stay empowered and motivated
• Observe, record, and report patient vitals, conditions, reactions, and past treatments to the medical provider
• Prepare and administer intramuscular injections
• Greet and attend to patients in person and over the phone
• Assist medical aesthetician in collecting specimens and procedures as requested
• Conduct daily medication counts, place medication orders, and dispense medications

Schedule and Compensation

• This position requires a commitment to fulltime hours, typically ranging between 35 and 40 hours per week.
• The standard working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with Saturdays included from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This position follows a 5day schedule with 8hour shifts.
• The pay scale for this role varies between $17 and $23 per hour, contingent upon your combined experience in Medical Assisting and Customer Service.

Skill and Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Be a graduate of, or be scheduled to graduate from, an accredited medical assisting program
• If required by the medical assisting program, one must have completed a clinical externship
• Alternatively, have a minimum of six months fulltime experience as a clinical Medical Assistant, performing tasks like manually measuring blood pressure and vital signs, and administering injections.
• Or, hold certification as a Clinical/Registered Medical Assistant through recognized organizations such as the National Healthcare Association (NHA), American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologies, or similar credentialing bodies.
• Warm, approachable, and nonjudgmental demeanor coupled with a genuine passion for assisting others a true peopleperson.
• Demonstrates professionalism in actions and conduct, serving as a fitting ambassador for Red Mountain Weight Loss.
