The Supervisor, Equipment Maintenance will be responsible for:
- The Manufacturing floor's overall maintenance, which includes ensuring equipment is operated and maintained according to manufacturer specification
- Prioritizing equipment repairs, creating and following preventive maintenance schedules, supervising maintenance technicians/engineers, and inspecting and testing equipment
- Conducting regular inspections of all mechanical processes and machinery in the manufacturing department
Responsibilities:
Supervise the maintenance staff and schedule for preventative and critical tasks
Responsible for Manufacturing Plant Maintenance-mainly equipment maintenance, new equipment installations, some PLC, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
Oversee the safety and appearance of manufacturing equipment
Supervises and supports the oversight of Total Preventative and Predictive Maintenance (TMP)
Provides guidance and resolution to technical and operational problems
Ensures employees are trained on safety procedures and all applicable regulatory requirements
Responsible for tracking and documenting all maintenance, upgrades, and repairs.
Establishes priorities and equipment needs for maintenance and repairs
Responsible for tools and equipment required for maintenance, as well as preventative maintenance related spare parts inventory
Ensures that all equipment is completely inspected at least once a year and is calibrated based on the manufacturer's recommendations or government standards
Supervises activities for direct and indirect reports
Ensures the ready status of idle equipment
Interacts with various internal and external groups to facilitate the proper maintenance of manufacturing equipment
Troubleshoot, perform and/or assist in maintenance and repairs
Tracks the production and activity of the maintenance workforce
Develops and maintains files on all equipment for historical data
Must be able to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies after work hours
Education, Experience, and Qualifications
H.S. Diploma H.S. Diploma GED or technical trade certificate required
Bachelor's Degree preferred
6+ Years Experience working in a manufacturing environment required
3+ Years Experience working in a manufacturing environment with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, electrical and PLC troubleshooting and repair required
2+ Years Experience working in an FDA regulated environment required
1+ Years Experience with basic machine tools and fixturing desirable (mill, lathe, hand tools, etc.) preferred
1+ Years Experience with hands-on electro-mechanical-mechanical assembly and troubleshooting preferred
Training and Skills
Knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical systems
Knowledge of Hydraulic equipment maintenance
Must possess excellent time management skills and adept at coordinating and following multiple deadlines
Thorough understanding of ISO 13485 and cGMP procedures
Ability to handle pressure of meeting tight deadlines
Knowledge in Engineering Design or Manufacturing Process Engineering
Thorough understanding of machine component design
Excellent fault finding ability
Demonstrable written and spoken communication skill
Travel Requirements
10% Travel may be required
