    EPC is located in the center of a high-tech commercial park in Simpsonville, SC to meet the demands of its rapidly growing customer base.

    The R&D team is focused on developing robust and reliable power conversion solutions to real-world customer problems, and doing it in a smaller, more powerful footprint than anything else available today.

    The Role:


    The Senior Cost Accountant will collaborate with other accountants and Operations staff in the company to provide financial and accounting support to executives and department heads who establish goals, budgets and financial analysis for the organization.


    Responsibilities:
    Collecting and analyzing data about a company's operational costs
    Setting standard costs of manufactured goods
    Developing and analyzing cost standards
    Carrying out cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis
    Establishing costs of business processes such as administration, labor, shipping, etc.
    Performing account reconciliations
    Preparing audit reports and presenting their findings to management
    Recommending changes to the company's processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit
    Advising executives and upper management on appropriate costing based on financial data
    Managing the company's balance sheet and accounting books
    Requirements
    Bachelor's Degree in accounting, mathematics, statistics or related field
    5-7 years of accounting experience, including a minimum of 3 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment and/or public accounting
    Experience working with ERP systems (SAP B1 desired)
    Superior knowledge of financial reporting software tools
    Understanding of organizational accounting concepts
    Excellent analytical skills and ability to work with complex costing
    Ability to prepare financial reports and give recommendations based on available data
    Ability to perform risk and security assessments
    In-depth knowledge of financial guidelines and regulations
    Excellent attention to detail
    Strong Excel skills
    Effective communication, including writing, speaking and active listening
    Collaboration and teamwork

    Salary:
    $85,000 - $95,000
