Job Title:
Web/UI Developer (W2 contract only, NO C2C)

Location:
Philadelphia, PA 19146

Duration: 6+ months, Part-Time

Employment Type:
W-2

Job Details:

Hybrid, Primarily Remote Occasional Onsite
PT, Hrs/ Week M-F
Normal Working Hours 95 EST (Flexible)
Extension/ Temp to Perm Possible dependent on grant funding, staffing, approval, dept, performance, etc

Responsibilities:

Designs and creates components that interface with secure REST APIs (level 2/3)
Builds specialized data visualization components to provide further insights into data, in particular create custom visualization components tailored for the type of data
Meets with research scientists and clinicians to help create new design and identify new use cases
Creates prototypes to help account for feedback iteratively
Stays uptodate with new developments in the field (time allocated for training)

Skills:

DSpace, Ruby on Rails, & Apache SOLR

- metadata and cms

Software design principles (OOP & FP concepts, DI/AOP techniques)
Agile methodology (UI/UX wireframes and mockups)
Unix
Javascript and ES6/ES7 latest features, possibly alternatives like CoffeeScript, TypeScript, or Dart.
HTML5 and CSS3 (and/or alternatives like Less, Sass)
HTTP/HTTPS/ REST, including HATEOAS
AJAX and WebSockets
JSON/XML
