• Schedule within operating hours of Monday through Friday: 7:30AM 5:30PM
• Based on needs of the classroom with occasional nights/weekends for events and professional development
• Full time/part time options available
• Rate: depending on experience $1822 an hour

Job Requirements:

• 12 ECE units with 3 semester units related to toddler care
• At least one year experience working in a licensed childcare center or related field
• Must be able to lift to 25 pounds, kneel, crouch, and crawl
• The ability to meet state requirements for education and additional center requirements by taking additional courses as needed
• Clean background check and medical clearance
• Reliable transportation

Typical Job Duties

• Encourage language development throughout the day by naming objects, actions, using who, what, when, where. and why, and openended questions.
• Provide physical care of infant children; oversee and participate in the preparation and serving of meals; change diapers and toilet children as required.
• Implement curriculum and curriculum components to instill a strong academic foundation
• Encouraging and actively facilitating social interactions between children with the goal of improving their selfesteem, social emotional, and problemsolving skills.
• Engaging in creative methods of learning, such as arts and crafts, supervised play, and storytelling.
• Planning comprehensive lesson plans to address early childhood development needs
• Instilling a sense of order in the classroom and playground using positive reinforcement, redirection, and facilitating ageappropriate coping strategies and social emotional teaching practices for ongoing classroom management techniques cultivating a warm, nurturing, and respectful positive climate classroom
• Ensuring the classroom and shared environments are a clean, clutter free, safe, and organized
• Preparing for lessons by gathering materials and setting up workstations without taking away from student instruction and supervision.
• Communicating with parents to better understand the children's home lives and psyches.
• Writing up reports for parents on each child's developmental and academic progress.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to bridge gap between home and school with families, as well as provide a variety of means to communicate needs of children, observations, and incidents
• Additional duties may be necessary depending on the needs of the classroom
