    Description

    Reports To: Director of Studio Operations, The Underground

    Position Objective

    Doner is looking for a hybrid creative offline/online finish editor. As a Hybrid Editor, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the visual narrative of our clients' brands through compelling video content. You will work across our diverse range of clients and projects and be supported by creative teams and an integrated studio of production and post-production experts. You'd need the ability to take approved offline cuts to online, implementing and developing new workflows from prep, onlining, and delivery. Must have great attention to detail with an extreme sense of organization, tracking final assets, understanding of delivery spreadsheets, file structure, and nuanced differences between different delivery specs.

    Responsibilities:

    Offline Video Editing: Edit and assemble raw footage into polished, visually appealing videos that align with client objectives and brand guidelines. Manage post-production tasks, including but not limited to color correction, audio adjustments, and adding visual effects or graphics to enhance the overall quality of videos.

    Finish/Online Editing: The Online/Finishing Editor is responsible for the finishing, cleanup, compositing, versioning, and final delivery of assets to the Doner Library and Broadcast Traffic team.

    Agency Collaboration: Work closely with our agency producers and creative team to understand project objectives, creative concepts, and client expectations. Collaborate on ideas and contribute innovative solutions to enhance video content.

    Technical Proficiency: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in video editing software. Demonstrate proficiency in industry-standard editing tools. Incorporate use of AI. Working knowledge of dealing with graphics packages and audio formats for delivery.

    File Management: Organize and manage video assets, ensuring efficient storage and accessibility for future projects. Transcoding may be necessary.

    Communication: Excellent communication with clients to understand their vision, address feedback, and ensure client satisfaction with the final video deliverables. Ability to take open/direct feedback and implement changes as needed to every project.

    Deadline Management: Work efficiently to meet project deadlines and timelines, balancing quality and speed in video production.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Minimum 5 years post-production experience, agency experience a plus
    • Bachelor's degree in Film Production or a related field
    • Knowledge in Adobe, Flame, and/or Da Vinci Resolve
    • Experience with motion graphics and animation software (e.g., Adobe After Effects)
    • Knowledge of audio editing and sound design principles
    • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
