- Evaluate health and safety practices and procedures to ensure the safety of children and employees.
- Conduct detailed on-site school audits weekly. Work one-on-one with schools to improve deficiencies identified during audits. Travel to schools up to 50%.
- Investigate incidents and work collaboratively with management team to determine cause and resolution.
- Assess and analyze potential hazards. Consider the implications of each danger to determine its seriousness, and make recommendations to management for correction.
- File, track, and report insurance claims.
- Prepare and present risk assessment reports and proposals.
- Prepare presentations and provide impactful trainings for small and large groups. Provide staff with risk awareness training and support.
- Review and provide recommendations to existing policies and procedures; conduct policy and compliance audits.

The Sunshine House Early Learning Academy's corporate office is seeking a Safety Specialist (Risk, Audit & Compliance) to work proactively to prevent workplace accidents and promote health & safety awareness with our risk management team.
Salary Range:
$42,000-$47,000/year, based on experience, education, and credentials.
