    Job Description:

    In this position, you will collaborate closely with the neurosurgical team members to develop and enhance specialized skills, crucial for effective performance within our specialized team.

    Your responsibilities as a neurosurgical nurse may involve engaging with patients and their families before surgeries to provide insights into the upcoming procedures. You will oversee the preparation of the operating room, ensuring that advanced equipment is ready for the surgical operation.

    On certain occasions, you will actively assist in surgeries by scrubbing in, while on other occasions, you will oversee the operating room as a circulating nurse, ensuring optimal preparedness for specific procedures.

    You will be involved in spine and head surgeries, addressing trauma in these areas, as well as catering to stroke patients where time is of the essence for a successful medical outcome. Following surgeries, you will supervise the transfer of patients to post-operative care units.

    Experience and Education Minimum Requirements:

    • Graduate of an authorized nursing program
    • Current California Registered Nurse certification
    • Current BLS certification
    • 1+ year of Neurosurgery RN experience mandatory

    SKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONS:

    • 1+ year of Neurosurgery RN experience mandatory
    • Current California Registered Nurse certification
    • Graduate of an authorized nursing program
