Position Description

Responsibilities:

Develop and Implement Social Media Strategy:

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive social media strategies tailored to meet the objectives of our organization. This includes identifying key social media trends, platforms, and tactics to effectively reach and engage our target audience.

Increase Brand Awareness:


  • Drive initiatives to enhance our brand visibility and recognition across social media channels. Utilize innovative approaches to promote our brand message and values, ensuring consistency and authenticity in all communications.

Optimize Social Media Platforms:

  • Stay abreast of the latest features, algorithms, and best practices across various social media platforms (such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.). Leverage these platforms to maximize our reach, engagement, and impact.

Content Strategy and Creation:

  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling and relevant content for social media channels. Create content calendars, manage publishing schedules, and ensure content aligns with overall marketing and communication objectives.

Analytics and Performance Tracking:

  • Monitor and analyze social media metrics and KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and initiatives. Utilize insights to optimize strategies, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations.

Community Engagement:


  • Foster meaningful interactions and relationships with our audience across social media platforms. Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Proactively engage with followers to cultivate a loyal and engaged community.

Federal Government Support (highly preferred):

  • Utilize previous experience supporting federal government agencies to navigate the unique challenges and opportunities within this sector. Understand compliance requirements and tailor strategies accordingly.

Required Skills/Qualifications

  • Proven experience in social media management, with a focus on strategy development and implementation.
  • Proficiency in navigating and utilizing various social media platforms, including but not limited to:
  • Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
  • Understanding of platformspecific features, algorithms, and audience demographics.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategic social media plans aligned with organizational goals and objectives. Experience translating business objectives into actionable social media strategies and campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of social media analytics tools and metrics.
  • Experience in identifying and analyzing target audience segments. Ability to develop tailored content and messaging strategies to resonate with different audience demographics and personas.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders. Experience working crossfunctionally with departments such as marketing, communications, public relations, and customer service.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for staying current on industry trends and innovations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
