on Coordinator **is responsible for managing day to day truck hauling activities and functions while maintaining the highest level of integrity and always working in the best interests of Solterra

Materials and our customers. This position reports to the Transportation Manager.

TIES**- Employee shall perform all duties and responsibilities with Solterra Material's Core Values at the

forefront.

  • Must be an advocate of safety and follow safety policies and procedures.
  • Schedule daily trucking requirements.
  • Optimize job specific trucking requirements throughout each day.
  • Evaluate future transportation needs based on weekly / monthly order schedule.
  • Send out daily trucking schedules with optimized haul route maps.
  • Verify and approve daily trucking hours.
  • Utilize Solterra's hauling management software for dispatch, haul monitoring and haul costing.
  • Manage and control transportation related costs.
  • Work cooperatively with other departments, vendors, and customers.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and advancements.
  • Assist with ensuring customer satisfaction through a superior customer service experience and
relational problem solving.

  • This is an officebased position. Employee will be working at a workstation, typically 8 hours per day.
  • While working, the employee might be exposed to various chemicals, vapors, pollutants, virus or other airborne pathogens, gases, uneven surfaces, loud noises, moving vehicles or machines and
dust/debris.

nce**- A high school diploma or GED is required, College degree preferred.

  • Five (5) or more years of construction materials transportation experience.
  • Operating knowledge of transportation software programs
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Must be able to communicate effectively & conduct themselves professionally
  • Must be able to handle heated conversations with emotional intelligence
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong math and problemsolving skills
  • Must be able to multitask and keep well organized
  • Must be fluent in English, i.e., must be able to speak, read and write English.
