Duties:


  • You will explain personnel processes, requirements, or procedures to employees.
  • You will schedule appointments for exams, physicals, or fitness for duty.
  • You will enter and maintain data in personnel records.
  • You will correct data discrepancies in a human resources information system (e.g., Defense Civilian Personnel Data System [DCPDS] or similar system).

Qualifications:


  • Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing knowledge of policies, procedures, rules, and regulations to maintain records; 2) Researching information in records and databases in order to respond to inquiries regarding human resources issues; 3) Utilizing automated systems to create and maintain records

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.

A 40 hour work week is typical for this position.

This position is being recruited at the full performance level.

A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee.

A BQ military spouse possesses knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies comparable to others who meet the competitive referral criteria for the specific position.

PPP applicants will be placed at the FPL, if determined Well Qualified (WQ).

To receive priority consideration, the FPL must be the same grade level or equivalent of the retained grade or the grade held immediately prior to separation.


Physical Demands:
The work is mostly sedentary. No special physical demands are involved. There may be some walking, standing, bending or carrying of light items.


Work Environment:
The employee works in an adequately lighted and ventilated office environment. Observes normal safety precautions.
