Position Summary

The Full-Time Groundskeeper will perform a wide variety of activities including, but not limited to landscape construction and maintenance, operation of heavy equipment in the performance of job duties, plant and care for trees, shrubs, annuals, perennials, and turf.

Availability:

Typical work week is 40 hours, running Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., or Tuesday - Saturday 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Actual work week hours may vary due to weather.

Responsibilities:

Must be willing to perform daily inspection of grounds for litter control, pavement condition, entry cleaning, watering, pest control, irrigation system performance, snow removal, fixtures condition, storm and sanitary systems conditions, and conditions of flower gardens, turn, trees, and shrubs.
Must be willing to complete required work order forms, follow up on repairs, and complete verbal and written assignments on a timely basis.
Must demonstrate knowledge of basic grounds maintenance and construction procedures.
Must understand duties during an emergency or disaster.

Requirements:

Must have a valid Illinois Driver's License.

Must have at least one year of grounds maintenance experience.
Must successfully complete a physical and background check.
Must be willing to perform assigned duties outside during varied weather conditions.
Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
Must possess sight/hearing senses so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
Must be able to work independently to complete assigned duties.
Must abide by ClarkLindsey's HIPAA privacy and security rules as described in the Employee Handbook.
Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public.
