    Description

    Join a talented team at Yonkers Contracting as a Project Engineer with 4-10 years of experience for a $500+ million construction project in the Bronx.

    Essential Duties

    · Work with the project team in designing, engineering, and construction

    · Coordinate and interface with NYSDOT and the MTA

    · Develop construction means and methods, working drawings, and submittals

    · Process and track change orders

    · Coordinate material and equipment deliveries

    · Process transmittals, submittals, RFI's and change orders

    · Ensure compliance with all appropriate standards, codes, and specifications

    · Subcontractor coordination and monitor for contract adherence

    · Research and resolve engineering and construction problems

    · Contribute to effective communication between field and project team

    Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    · 4-10 years of heavy highway/bridge construction experience

    · B.S. in Civil or Mechanical Engineering preferred

    · Knowledge of NYSDOT standard specifications

    · Strong verbal and written communication skills

    · Prepare clear and concise reports and letters

    · OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30

    · Must meet requirements to work in the US (form I9)

    · Valid driver's license

    Salary Range: $90k -165k - based on experience, education, and training

    Physical Demands/Working Conditions (with or without reasonable accommodation):

    · Work in varying weather and temperatures

    · Sit and/or stand for extended periods

    · Manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination needed to use a variety of office equipment such as computer, telephones, calculators, copiers, and drafting equipment

    · Visual acuity to perform drafting, review plans, and perform other essential functions of the job

    · Occasionally walk on uneven terrain and/or across bridges

    · May be required to work more than 40 hours a week and/or work irregular hours
