Position Overview:

Basic Requirements

Well organized with excellent communication skills.
Proficient in English language: Both written and verbal.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and technology savvy.
Strong multitasking skills.
Flexible, friendly and engaging.
Prior experience in a shipping/receiving related position is mandatory.
Capable of working in a team environment.
Must be able to lift at least 75lbs.
Demonstrate creative, organizational, and collaborative skills.
Extremely organized and prioritizes tasks well.
Collaborate well with production, procurement, sales and accounting team.
Possess the ability to proactively develop new and innovative ideas for expanding our current vendor relations base. Always able to think outside the box.
Experience using FedEx, UPS, and USPS shipping software is a must.
Extensive experience working with LTL companies domestic and international.

Specific Position Requirements:

2+ years of experience in shipping and receiving.
2+ years of supervisory experience.
Prepare product for shipping (stage product/packing slips/labels/bills of lading/etc.)
Ensure all manifests, invoices, orders, shipping documentation, and forms are accurate.
Record shipping data such as damages, rejected shipments, discrepancies for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes.
Determine shipping methods and procedures for safe shipment based on the material using shipping knowledge procedures.
Determine the most efficient and costeffective shipping methods and making sure that by all costs no customers delivery date is ever missed.
Communicate with supervisors, peers, and subordinates to ensure all issues are handled properly.
Receive incoming product, match them to purchase order quantities and descriptions.
Store, maintain, order, and monitor shipping materials and supplies used for shipping.
Responsible for managing inventory of client insertions and any type of letterheads or envelopes that may be associated with the program.
Quality control of all incoming product and referencing them against approved production files.
Maintain accurate item locations in system for all product in warehouse.
Maintain a safe and clean environment inside and outside of the facility.
Proficiency working between Microsoft Excel, CSV, and tab delimited text files.
Professionally communicate with the shipping carriers in times of confusion. Confident conflict resolution and problem solving skills are a must.
Must be flexible: Able to work other shifts, overtime and Saturdays when needed.

Position Type
This is a full-time position at our Elk Grove Village facility.

Required Education & Experience
Associates degree preferred, but not required. Minimum two (2) years of related shipping/receiving/collation/fulfillment related experience and supervisory experience.
