Summary:

We are seeking a motivated Permitting Specialist to assist in growing Tetra Tech's Texas environmental business. Candidate must be highly motivated and work well in a professional and team-oriented environment. Candidate must also have the ability to manage a heavy workload, travel as needed, possess excellent communication and organizational skills. Proficiency with MS Office applications is a requirement.

Your Role:

Interacting with commercial/industrial clients to identify needs, develop, and process solutions.
Preparation and submittal of water related discharge permit applications.
Engagement in diverse client projects that may involve multi-media knowledge including Air, Water, Waste, Hazardous Material Management, or Emergency Response/Prevention.
Development of proposals including scope of work and budgetary estimates.
Preparation of permitting packages, provide technical support and agency correspondence through the permit submittal, and additional compliance support.
Performing site evaluations, water quality evaluations, and plan development for Industrial clients.
Interacting with State, Local, and Federal agencies to process permits and answer questions.

Qualifications:

Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Environmental Engineering, or a related area.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in the environmental consulting industry or related experience.
Work experience in wastewater, stormwater, and environmental compliance projects in Oil and Gas, Renewable, and other industrial clients.
Applicant must possess excellent communication (both written and verbal) and organizational skills.
Applicant must also be highly motivated, customer focused, and work well in a team environment.
Applicant must be able to drive and pass a motor vehicle records check.
A Pre-employment drug screening in compliance with state regulations is required.
Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
