Description
CD Peacock is seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Buyer for the watch department.

The Assistant Buyer for timepieces is responsible for ensuring that overall business is supported through communication with the store teams, vendors, as well as product assortment.

This individual will report directly to the Director of Merchandising for timepieces and requires in office commitment Monday - Friday.


Responsibilities:


  • Process purchase orders / memo requests
  • Manage inventory/assortment (RTV, identifying aging inventory, SKU level replenishment settings to ensure proper inventory levels, etc)
  • Manage multiple inboxes for store inquiries (product availability, timing, general inquiries)
  • Analyze category/vendor performance and adjust sku level forecast to achieve department sales plans
  • Leverages planning and analytical expertise to maximize sales, inventory, and gross margin.
  • EOM Reporting/warranty replacement
  • Partner with Director of Merchandising to execute seasonal merchandise strategy based on sell through / trends / business analytics / market
  • Partner with marketing for event planning and support
  • Attend vendor trainings/events as requested
  • Assisting Visual Merchandising at store level when needed
  • Misc duties as directed by the Director of Merchandising
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with sales teams and vendors
  • Task focused & Organized
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Problem solving
  • Planning / forecasting abilities
  • Flexible schedule and open to support events on weekends, evenings and holidays
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 20lbs
  • Must be able to work in office, an average of 40 hours/week
  • Must have means of transportation between stores
  • Must always reflect professionalism, honesty and integrity
  • Luxury Jewelry/watch experience preferred but not required
