Position Summary:


  • The Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute (SSIHI) is a part of the Susan & Henry College of Health Sciences and UCI Health. The Samueli Institute works to transform healthcare through the practice of integrative health by conducting rigorous research, promoting evidencebased treatment modalities, educating the public on wellbeing practices, providing individualized, patientcentered clinical care and providing services to the community that focus on obtaining optimal health.
  • Responsible for contributing to the daily operations of programs within the Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute, the Programs Coordinator manages and supports the daytoday operations of SSIHI's programs including Mindfulness Programs, Tai Chi classes, the Mussallem Nutritional Education Center, and Group Medical Visits. The incumbent provides administrative and instructional support to the programs, participants, and instructors. This support includes but is not limited to, providing exceptional customer service, screening participants, organizing and arranging rooms, ensuring all organizational aspects of the programs and classes, and tracking program data.

  • The expected pay range for this recruitment is $ $39.18 (Hourly Rate). The Full Salary Range for the salary grade this position is assigned to is $ $39.18 (Hourly Rate).

Required:


  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • BA/BS degree in higher education administration, or related field
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of participant and/or patients records and other sensitive information.
  • Excellent administrative and customer service skills.
  • Ability to exercise independent thinking and judgment in order to effectively complete assigned projects in a timely manner with mínimal supervision.
  • Experience working in an academic institution.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently organize and prioritize a diversified workload and maintain attention to detail in an environment of frequent interruptions, distractions, and conflicting deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong command of English composition and grammar, spelling, and punctuation to compose and proofread material with speed and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to write professional correspondences.
  • Skill in setting priorities that accurately reflect the importance of job responsibilities.
