- Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests, to formulate accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Diagnosis and Treatment: Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, prescribe medications, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and provide therapeutic interventions to manage acute and chronic health conditions.
- Health Education: Educate patients and their families about health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options, ensuring that they understand their healthcare plans and are empowered to make informed decisions.
- Chronic Disease Management: Manage and monitor patients with chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease, offering continuous support and adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
- Preventive Care: Administer vaccinations, perform routine screenings, and counsel patients on lifestyle modifications to promote optimal health and prevent illness.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including physicians, nurses, and specialists, to ensure coordinated care and referrals as necessary.
- Master's degree in Nursing (NP) or Physician Assistant Studies (PA-C).
- Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
