    Local rate rule:


    off the BR. ICU, PCU and M/S Peds and Adult RNs residing in the state of Indiana are considered local and will be accepted at the local rate


    Travelers are required to work 2 of the 3 holidays that fall within their contract (or a majority if there are 4 holidays).

    Holidays include- Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve/Day and New Years Eve/Day

    First Time Travelers Accepted

    Shift Requirements:
    4x12 or 3x12

    • Call-Ins
    :

    If a traveler call-ins for a contracted shift, the traveler is expected to 1) make up the day during the pay period, if a 0.9 FTE. OR 2) if a 0.9 FTE and unable to make up during the pay period, then the shift will be added at the end of the traveler contract 3) If a 1.2 FTE, any call-in shifts will be added to the end of the contract

    • Weekends
    :

    Travelers are expected to work every other week per their contract. Pending operational needs, consecutive weekends may be needed based on the greatest need

    • Charge coverage
    :

    Pending operational needs, unit charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources.

    Certification Requirements:

    ACLS and BCLS

    Skillset Requirements:

    Minimum 2 years experience
    Proficient in cardiac monitoring- on unit monitoring
    Management of chest tubes
    Fresh trachs
    Feeding tube care and management
    Care of post of patients
    Epidurals
    Management of non-titratable cardiac drips
    IV insulin protocols and titration of insulin drips
    External BiPAP/CPAP
    Total laryngectomy
    Doppler flap checks

    Floating Requirements:

    Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided

    Unit Information:

    Surgical PCU- almost ICU level acuity- ENT (Neck dissections, Mandibulectomy), Thoracic (Esophagectomy, Lobectomy, Pneumonectomy), General Surg. (Pancreatic, Bowel/ liver resections), Urology (Urinary diversions, cystectomies, RPLND), Medical overflow
