    This position is located at Department of Housing and Urban Development, Office of the Chief Procurement Officer.



    Duties


    As a Supervisory Contract Specialist, you will:

    • Serve as a principal Contracting Officer within Headquarters and Field with delegated authority to obligate millions of dollars annually in support of assigned programs.
    • Direct and supervise the overall progression of all work assigned to subordinates, which includes planning, negotiation, award, administration, and closeout of various types of contractual vehicles.
    • Provide advice, coordination, oversight, and approval of work performed by subordinates, including such tasks as cost estimating, cost accounting, and establishment of award fees as applicable.
    • Serve as the CPO and DCPO representative in high-level meetings with senior officials from the Department and Industry, as well as in conferences and negotiation sessions with high-level program and public/private industry officials.
