General OverviewThis position will directly supervise production department employees who work in the molding department and who run injection and blow molding presses.
This position will also provide leadership and training to ensure productivity measures are met with top quality while adhering to all safety protocols and maintaining a clean environment that supports Lean concepts.
Overall Responsibilities The list below highlights the essential job responsibilities but is not exhaustive. Implement Lean concepts and lead staff in the successful understanding and practices associated with Lean.(5S, "Leader Standard Work" and "Standard Work", etc.)Provide leadership abilities in preventing accidents by emphasizing the importance of safety and good work practices.
Maximize efficiency in each production employee while maintaining exceptional quality, productivity, and production schedules.Responsible for maximizing workforce flexibility, by cross-training personnel to complete work schedules efficiently.
Train, develop, and measure the output of production employees.
Ensures that schedules are communicated, measured, and followed up throughout the shift.
Responsible for all reporting of attendance, shift performance, incident management, and other reporting as assigned.
Responsible for departmental staffing and disciplinary measures of employees under supervision.
Conduct Gemba WalksMaintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
