WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE PRACTICE

Are you ready to become the master of the complex vehicle systems of Lakeshire's vehicle fleet? From the beginning of your apprenticeship, you will be actively involved in the automotive workshops of the municipal enterprise Stadtraumservice. In addition to the traditional skills of a mechatronics technician, you will learn all about the electrical and electronic components of vehicles. Become a specialist in electric drive technology and learn the maintenance and repair of hybrid and electric vehicles. You will also learn how to handle error diagnostics and be taught valuable troubleshooting strategies. Retrofitting components and additional equipment in existing vehicle systems, as well as software updates and functional tests, are also part of your tasks.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN THEORY

Theory, the catalyst for your professional success The theoretical training takes place in block lessons at the Carl Bosch School in Heidelberg. You will gain valuable knowledge in the areas of automotive electronics, maintenance technology, automotive technology, social/economic studies, and diagnostic technology.

AND AFTER GRADUATION?

Once you have successfully completed your apprenticeship after 3.5 years, you can officially call yourself a mechatronics technician.
