- Manage information flow throughout the production process.
- Collaborate with various departments for effective planning, including customer service, production, quality assurance, maintenance, and logistics.
- Ensure timely delivery of finished products, driving on-time delivery metrics.
- Optimize labor and plant resources to reduce production costs.
- Ensure materials are available to minimize unplanned downtime and changeovers.
- Maintain accurate data for effective product recall and audit requirements.
- Provide and maintain systems for efficient batch and work-in-process (WIP) management.
- Purchase ingredients and packaging for production requirements.
- Manage inventory of finished products and raw materials.
- BS or BA degree preferred.
- Minimum five years of experience in the food industry.
- Previous experience as a production planner.
- SysPro experience preferred.
- Prolonged sitting, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
- Overtime required, including weekends during peak seasons.
- Flexible schedule may be necessary.
- Cold, refrigerated setting.
- Work surfaces primarily concrete, with anti-fatigue mats where feasible.
