- Healthcare insurance knowledge
- Ability to take a high volume of calls (approx calls a day)
- Candidates MUST be LOCAL to the job; no more than one hour commute away, preferably 1/2 hour commute
- Associates degree or higher college education
- 3+ years' recent experience working in a call center environment
- Experience with CS-Link/Epic
- 8 hour shift

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Patient Relations Specialists are the patient ambassadors, providing patients with ready access to care within assigned practices and/or service areas. Utilizing telecommunications, computer information systems and our EMR system, PRSs serve as the initial point of contact for the various practices and services provided. PRSs practice a high level of customer service, act with a sense of urgency and reliability, have strong data entry skills, are active listeners, exhibit excellent phone etiquette, have strong verbal and written skills, and demonstrate a spirit of teamwork and personal ownership in the department. PRSs are expected to utilize the policies and procedures as their guiding principles. PRSs actively help identify areas for improving patient relations.
