The Director of Merchandising holds responsibility for leading the merchandising strategy to optimize revenue, profitability, and product efficiency in accordance with company strategies and brand objectives.

This entails managing our diverse product assortment from 50+ brands and spearheading new brand and category opportunities.

The Director of Merchandising will formulate and implement a strong merchandising strategy, collaborating with the in-house merchandising team to drive product development and effective lifecycle management, guiding the team towards excellence, creating engaging marketing and promotional initiatives, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and enhancement.

The Director of Merchandising will lead the merchandising team and partner with cross functional teams within the organization and directly within the Product Management Team.

What You'll Do

Strategic Planning and Analysis:


  • Develop competitive strategies for product development, assortment planning, pricing, and promotions to maximize ROI.

Merchandise Planning and Execution:


  • Collaborate with merchandise planning to implement balanced investment strategies by category and store type.
  • Assist in decisionmaking regarding pricing, quantities, and product packaging based on purchasing plans.
  • Report to the executive team on category performance and market trends using financial analysis and data.

Market Research and Vendor Management:


  • Research competitors and market trends to ensure the company remains a leader in the category.
  • Travel to company locations and events to evaluate product mix, quality, and market trends, and establish vendor relationships.

Operational Management and Leadership:


  • Manage employee performance, development, and training.
  • Coordinate team efforts to meet goals and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Communicate company goals and facilitate employee growth through regular meetings and training opportunities.
  • Demonstrate the company's core values in all job functions.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver an annual product merchandising strategy for the entire product assortment.
  • Manage 60K+ internal SKU's.
  • Lead a team that manages all the data entry for all SKU's present on our B2B ecomm site.
  • Create line architecture inclusive of SKU counts, SKU productivity, differentiation, and price tier that support organizational goals.
  • Cross functional interaction (both internal and external) to support existing and future product opportunit
