Job Summary:


The Director of Global Materials will develop and implement inventory strategies, monitor metrics for capital deployment, fill rates, and service levels across all PVI Holdings, Inc and its Divisions.

They will ensure efficient materials planning, foster collaboration, and oversee ERP implementation. Utilize digital tools and AI for improved efficiency. Focus on continuous improvement and problem-solving in a dynamic environment.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Streamlining and standardizing materials planning processes across the PVI business units in an ERP operating environment. Provide leadership, and expertise to teams across the regional sites as it relates to SIOP, materials planning and inventory management.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of strategies and procedures for activities relating to streamlining and simplifying the materials management organization.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Operations team to help establish material plans that support the inventory strategy and work with stakeholders to align their expectations for Inventory minimum and maximum stock levels.
  • Oversee material planning process, create monthly inventory forecast for each business unit based on demand forecast and supply plan.
  • Validate or adjust the baseline statistical forecasts to reflect the regional sales leaders' input including won/lost customer demand, other customers, and competitor behavior.
  • Ensure execution of material orders in accordance with overall purchasing, inventory, and commodity strategies, supplier agreements, and policy requirements. Provide input in the supplier agreements to ensure alignment with business processes and objectives.
  • Review operating reports, identify, and direct the resolution of inefficiencies/shortfalls or other problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.

Positional Requirements & Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, accounting, operations management, marketing, or supply chain management.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Demand Planning, operations planning/scheduling, materials management, or other Sales Inventory & Operations Planning related functional area.
  • Led multisite organization supporting multiple business units and sites.
  • Experience in implementing and transitioning to new ERP platform.
  • Strong analytical skills demonstrated ability to parse data and drive business decisions using analytics and business intelligence tools.
  • Proficient with Demand Planning tools, digital solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong verbal & written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to efficiently multitask, prioritize, and delegate.
  • Ability to collaborate with both internal and external customers.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP system preferred.
  • Practiced Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt certification preferred).
  • APICS, CPIM, CPSM, or CPF certification preferred.
