Job Functions:

Job SummaryThe Manufacturing Engineer will work with the entire operations team to plan and support the logistics, material handling and production areas.

Utilizing lean manufacturing principles, this position is responsible for developing and implementing material handling and manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications, quality standards and safety regulations.

Job Functions (Essential)Develops and implements optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods, including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment, in accordance with product specifications and quality standards.

Work with organizational groups to develop and improve existing policies, procedures and controls through planning and implementation. Takes input from team members to provide accurate and appropriate feedback.
Design and/or source, test and cost-justify various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.

Maintain labor routings and operator worker allocations in SAP.Evaluate data and write reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standardsEvaluate and present recommendations to management for manpower, schedules, capacity, performance, and other key performance indicators.

Write and implement work instructions, processes and procedures for production floor and the department.
Provide technical assistance and support to manufacturing operations.
Prepares and maintains detailed layouts of buildings, assembly areas, and equipment.
Coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products.
Aid and assist in engineering change orders and production order changes.

Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls Royce Code of Conduct.

Qualifications:
Qualifications (Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

Required:

Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering and 3 years' experience in a manufacturing engineering; or 7 years of manufacturing engineering experience.

Strong experience with the design of manufacturing processesStrong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Strong project management skillsStrong organization, planning and follow-up skillsStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong analytical and complex problem-solving skillsA continuous improvement mindset that is open to new approaches and embraces an agile working mode Strong familiarity with drafting nomenclature and conventionsPreferred:Practical experience using manufacturing simulation and CAD softwareOSHA certification/trainingExperience with SAPBasic knowledge of AC and DC electrical systems
